This chapter, IC 31-17-2, IC 31-17-4, IC 31-17-6, and IC 31-17-7 shall be construed and applied to promote the
purpose and policy of this chapter, IC 31-17-2, IC 31-17-4, IC 31-17-6,
and IC 31-17-7.
