Text

The rules of law contained in this article shall be interpreted and applied to the terms of a power of attorney to implement the intent of the principal and the purposes of the power of attorney. If the rules of law conflict with the terms of the power of attorney, the terms of the power of attorney control unless the rules of law clearly prohibit or restrict what the terms of the power of attorney purport to authorize.
