Text
(a)As used in this chapter, "plan sponsor"
means a person that establishes, adopts, or maintains a health benefit
plan that covers individuals in Indiana.
(b)The term includes a health benefit plan established, adopted, or
maintained:
(1)by an employer;
(2)jointly by an employer and one (1) or more employee
organizations; or
(3)by an association, committee, joint board of trustees, or any
similar group of representatives.
(c)The term does not include an entity regulated under this title.
