Text
6. The following are exempt from the licensing requirement under IC 27-8-19.8-8.5:
(1)An accountant, an attorney, or a financial planner retained to
represent the viator, and whose compensation is paid directly by
or at the direction of the viator.
(2)A regularly salaried officer or employee of a viatical
settlement broker or viatical settlement provider, if the officer or
employee's duties and responsibilities do not include the
solicitation or negotiation of viatical settlement contracts.
(3)The following persons, to the extent that the person is engaged
in the administration or operation of a program of employee
benefits for the person's employees or the employees of the
person's subsidiaries or affiliates involving the use of viatical
settlement contracts issued by a licensed viatic
