§ 27-4-10-8 — "Provider billing agent"
Indiana·Title 27 INSURANCE·Art. 4 UNFAIR COMPETITION; UNAUTHORIZED·Ch. 10 Virtual Claim Payments for Dental Care Services
As used in this chapter, "provider billing agent" means a person or entity that contracts with a dental provider to provide billing services for the dental provider, including:
(1)submitting bills to patients;
(2)requesting payment from patients; and
(3)receiving payment from patients;
under the terms and conditions of the contract between the dental
provider and the person or entity.
