§ 27-2-23-15 — Charges related to search
Indiana·Title 27 INSURANCE·Art. 2 POWERS AND DUTIES OF INSURERS·Ch. 23 Unclaimed Life Insurance Benefits
An insurer, and an entity providing services to an insurer, shall not charge a beneficiary or authorized representative a fee or cost associated with:
(1)a death master file search; or
(2)verification of a death master file match;
conducted under this chapter.
