§ 27-13-22-4 — Contracting with health maintenance organizations to provide insurance coverage
Indiana·Title 27 INSURANCE·Art. 13 HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATIONS·Ch. 22 Powers of Insurers and Hospital Corporations
An insurer or a hospital may contract with a health maintenance organization to provide to the health maintenance organization:
(1)insurance coverage or similar protection against the cost of
health care services provided through the health maintenance
organization; or
(2)insurance coverage in the event of the failure of the health
maintenance organization to meet its obligations to enrollees or
providers.
