Text

The commission may associate with a member of the fund in the defense of a claim and, if no defense is provided by the insurer providing the fund member's underlying coverage, the commission may defend the member and control that defense. Amounts expended by the commission from the fund under this section must be deducted under section 13 of this chapter from the amount to be paid by the commission toward the satisfaction of a liability.
