§ 27-1-28-15 — Written exam; exceptions
(a)Except as provided in section 16 of this
chapter and in subsection (e), an individual who applies for an
independent adjuster license under this chapter must pass a written
examination that is:
(1)developed and conducted according to rules adopted by the
commissioner under IC 4-22-2; and
(2)intended to test the knowledge of the individual concerning:
(A)the lines of authority in which the individual has applied for
licensing under this chapter;
(B)the duties and responsibilities of an independent adjuster;
and
(C)Indiana insurance law.
(b)The commissioner may contract with a nongovernmental entity
to administer the written examination required by this section.
(c)An individual described in subsection (a) shall remit, with the
application to take the written examination required
