§ 27-1-15.7-3 — Extension for continuing education requirements

(a) The commissioner may grant an extension
for complying with the continuing education requirement set forth in
section 2 of this chapter.
(b) To receive an extension under this section, a licensee must:
(1) file a request with the commissioner on a form provided by the
commissioner; and
(2) submit with the request an extension fee of twenty-five dollars
($25) for deposit in the department of insurance fund under IC 27-1-3-28.
(c) After a licensee files a request for an extension, the license of the
licensee remains in effect until the commissioner makes a decision on
the request.
(d) If the commissioner denies a licensee's request for an extension,
the licensee must complete continuing education requirements set forth
in section 2 of this chapter within ninety (90) days after the
commissioner notifies the licensee of the denial.
