Text

The commissioner and the director of the department of financial institutions shall consult with each other and assist each other in enforcing compliance with the provisions of IC 28 concerning the sale of life insurance policies and annuity contracts. The commissioner and the director of the department of financial institutions may jointly conduct investigations, prosecute suits, and take other official action that the commissioner and the director consider appropriate under this section if either the commissioner or the director is empowered to take the action. If the director of the department of financial institutions is informed by a financial institution or its affiliate of a violation or suspected violation of any provision of IC 28 concerning the sale of life insurance policies or
