Text
(a)If the commissioner considers the
issuance of a temporary license necessary for the servicing of an
insurance business, the commissioner, without requiring an
examination, may issue a temporary insurance producer license for a
period of not more than one hundred eighty (180) days to any of the
following:
(1)To the surviving spouse or court-appointed personal
representative of a licensed individual insurance producer who
dies or becomes mentally or physically disabled:
(A)to allow adequate time for the sale of the insurance
business owned by the producer;
(B)to provide for the servicing of the insurance business until
the recovery or return of the producer to the business; or
(C)to provide for the training and licensing of new personnel
to operate the producer's business.
