§ 25-42-11-1 — Construction and severability of the compact
Indiana·Title 25 PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS·Art. 42 INTERSTATE NURSE LICENSURE COMPACT·Ch. 11 Construction and Severability
This compact must be liberally construed so
as to effectuate the purposes of the compact. The provisions of this
compact are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, or provision
of the compact is declared to be contrary to the constitution of any
party state or of the United States, or if the applicability of the compact
to any government, agency, person, or circumstance is held invalid, the
validity of the remainder of the compact and the applicability of the
compact to any government, agency, person, or circumstance is not
affected.
