Text

(a)An individual who provides evidence to a health care facility that the individual was employed before July 1, 2009:
(1)to provide surgical assistance;
(2)under the supervision of a surgeon; and
(3)in a health care facility; may provide surgical assistance in a health care facility.
(b)This chapter does not require a health care facility to permit an individual described in subsection (a) to provide surgical assistance at the health care facility.
