Text

This chapter does not require any of the following persons to be a licensee:

(1)A law enforcement officer of the United States, a state, or a political subdivision of a state to the extent that the officer or employee is engaged in the performance of the officer's or employee's official duties.
(2)Any person to the extent that the person is engaged in the business of furnishing and obtaining information concerning the financial rating of other persons.
(3)A collection agency licensed by the secretary of state or its employee acting within the scope of the employee's employment, to the extent that the person is making an investigation incidental to the business of the agency, including an investigation of the location of a debtor or a debtor's assets in a property that the client has an
