Text
(a)"Certified direct entry midwife" or
"CDEM" means an individual who is a certified direct entry midwife
and certified under this article.
(b)The term does not include any of the following:
(1)An individual engaged in the practice of medicine under IC 25-22.5.
(2)A certified nurse midwife engaged only in the practice of
midwifery under IC 25-23.
(3)An individual providing emergency medical services.
