§ 25-23-1-20 — Application for nursing education program; employment of registered nurses

(a)Any institution which desires to conduct a nursing education program shall apply to the board and submit evidence that:
(1)it is prepared to give a minimum curriculum of organized instruction and clinical experience in nursing in conformity to the provisions of this chapter and the rules of the board. Such instruction and experience must be secured in more than one (1) institution or agency approved by the board; and
(2)it is prepared to meet other standards established by this chapter and by the board.
(b)An institution that conducts a nursing education program may employ a person who:
(1)is a registered nurse with a bachelor's degree in nursing; and
(2)has at least three (3) years of experience in nursing in the previous six (6) years; to instruct nursing students on a part-time
