1.

(a)Subject to IC 25-1-2-6(e), a license to practice as a registered nurse expires on October 31 in each odd-numbered year. Failure to renew the license on or before the expiration date will automatically render the license invalid without any action by the board.
(b)Subject to IC 25-1-2-6(e), a license to practice as a licensed practical nurse expires on October 31 in each even-numbered year. Failure to renew the license on or before the expiration date will automatically render the license invalid without any action by the board.
(c)The procedures and fee for renewal shall be set by the board. If the license being renewed is a multistate license (as defined in IC 25-42-1-11) under IC 25-42 (Nurse Licensure Compact), a fee of twenty-five dollars ($25) must be paid in addition to the
