Text
If:
(1)a hospital;
(2)a health maintenance organization issued a certificate of
authority under IC 27-13;
(3)a preferred provider organization licensed under IC 27-8-11;
(4)a health insurance company; or
(5)any other similarly licensed entity;
requires a physician to be residency trained, board certified, or eligible
for certification in a medical specialty, it shall include residency
training or certification approved by a national association founded in
1897 that accredits residency training programs and certifying boards
for osteopathic physicians as criteria that satisfy the requirement.
