(a)The board may issue a provisional health facility administrator license to an individual for a specific licensed health facility or residential care facility if the individual has:

(1)at least two (2) years of administrative experience in a licensed health facility; and

(2)not been convicted of a crime that has a direct bearing on the individual's ability to practice competently in accordance with IC 25-1-1.1.

(b)The board may issue a provisional residential care administrator license to an individual for a specific residential care facility if the individual has:

(1)at least two (2) years of administrative experience in a residential care facility; and

(2)not been convicted of a crime that has a direct bearing on the individual's ability to practice competently in accordance w

3. (a) The board may issue a provisional
health facility administrator license to an individual for a specific
licensed health facility or residential care facility if the individual has:
(1) at least two (2) years of administrative experience in a
licensed health facility; and
(2) not been convicted of a crime that has a direct bearing on the
individual's ability to practice competently in accordance with IC 25-1-1.1.
(b) The board may issue a provisional residential care administrator
license to an individual for a specific residential care facility if the
individual has:
(1) at least two (2) years of administrative experience in a
residential care facility; and
(2) not been convicted of a crime that has a direct bearing on the
individual's ability to practice competently in accordance with IC 25-1-1.1.
(c) Subject to subsection (d), the chair of the board may issue a
provisional health facility administrator license or a provisional
residential care administrator license to an individual who appears to
be qualified.
(d) If the board determines that an individual described in
subsection (c) fails to meet all applicable qualifications for a
provisional license described in subsection (a) or (b), the board may
withdraw the provisional license.
(e) Experience that an individual gains while practicing health
facility administration with a provisional license issued under this
section may count toward the requirements for an administrator in
training program, as approved by the board.
