Text
(a)The board is charged with the duty of
administering and enforcing the laws pertaining to the practice of
dentistry and of dental hygiene. The board may adopt and enforce rules
for the administration and enforcement of this article in accordance
with IC 4-22-2. The board shall adopt a code of professional conduct
and shall adopt rules establishing standards for the competent practice
of dentistry or dental hygiene. The board may adopt rules concerning
assessment of costs in disciplinary proceedings before the board.
(b)Complaints against persons licensed under this article or IC 25-13 are subject to IC 25-1-7. The board may conduct hearings
concerning these complaints in accordance with IC 4-21.5.
