§ 25-1-6-5 — Executive director

Indiana·Title 25 PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS·Art. 1 GENERAL PROVISIONS·Ch. 6 Professional Licensing Agency Functions and Duties
(a)The licensing agency shall be administered by an executive director appointed by the governor who shall serve at the will and pleasure of the governor.
(b)The executive director must be qualified by experience and training.
(c)The term "executive director" or "secretary", or any other statutory term for the administrative officer of a board described in IC 25-0.5-7, means the executive director of the licensing agency or the executive director's designee.
(d)The executive director is the chief fiscal officer of the licensing agency and is responsible for hiring of all staff and for procurement of all services and supplies in accordance with IC 5-22.
