Text

(a)A person alleging a violation of this chapter may bring a civil action in a court of competent jurisdiction for either or both of the following:
(1)Injunctive relief.
(2)Damages as follows:
(A)A sum of money:
(i)to be determined by the court; but
(ii)not less than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500); per violation to compensate the person for injury or loss caused by the violation.
(B)If the court finds that the violation was intentional, an increased sum of money in an amount not to exceed three (3) times the amount that would otherwise be awarded under clause
(A).
(b)A court, in rendering a judgment in an action brought under this section, may award all or part of the costs of the action, including reasonable attorney's fees and witness fees, to the complainant in the a
