§ 23-14-31-49 — Disputes concerning cremated remains; liability for refusing release
(a)If a crematory authority is aware of a
dispute concerning the release or disposition of cremated remains, the
crematory authority shall release the remains to the funeral director or
funeral home until the dispute has been resolved.
(b)A crematory authority is not liable for refusing to release or
dispose of cremated remains in accordance with this section.
