§ 23-14-31-31 — Cancellation by authorizing agent and instructions for alternative disposition
After an authorizing agent has executed a
cremation authorization form, the authorizing agent may revoke the
authorization and instruct the crematory authority to cancel the
cremation and to release or deliver the human remains to another
crematory authority or funeral home. The instructions must be provided
to the crematory authority in writing. A crematory authority must
comply with instructions given to the authority by an authorizing agent
under this section if the crematory authority receives the instructions
