§ 20-44-2-2 — General levy powers

Indiana·Title 20 EDUCATION·Art. 44 PROPERTY TAX LEVIES; GENERAL·Ch. 2 General Levy Powers

Each governing body may annually levy the amount of taxes that:

(1)in the judgment of the governing body; and
(2)after being made a matter of record in the minutes; should be levied to produce income sufficient to conduct and carry on the public schools committed to the governing body. [Pre-2006 Recodification Citation: 20-23-16-4(b).]
