(a)If money appropriated in a fiscal year by the general assembly for adult education is insufficient to fund the state adult education distribution formula provided in the rules adopted by the state board, the budget agency may transfer a sufficient amount of money from any excess in the state appropriation for state tuition support for the fiscal year to fund the state adult education distribution formula.
(b)Before the budget agency makes a transfer under this section, the budget agency shall refer the matter to the budget committee for an advisory recommendation. [Pre-2006 Recodification Citation: 20-30-6-3.]
