Text
(a)The department shall develop and provide
each public middle school, junior high school, and secondary school
with curriculum guidelines designed to satisfy the requirements of this
chapter.
(b)The guidelines developed under subsection (a) shall include a
plan for increasing the:
(1)availability of advanced placement program in schools with a
high concentration of low income students; and
(2)participation of low income students in advanced placement
programs;
through information dissemination through print, electronic, and
broadcast media that informs parents and students of the importance of
advanced placement and preadvanced placement courses to a student's
ability to gain access to and to succeed in postsecondary education.
