§ 20-35-14-4 — Transition of hearing officers
Indiana·Title 20 EDUCATION·Art. 35 SPECIAL EDUCATION·Ch. 14 Employment of Independent Hearing Officers
Not later than August 1, 2024, the department
and the office shall enter into a memorandum of understanding
regarding the transition to hearing officers employed by the office as
full-time, salaried, state employees to act as and satisfy the
requirements regarding independent hearing officers under the IDEA.
