(a)Each school corporation, charter school, and state accredited nonpublic school shall include in its curriculum for students enrolled in grade 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 instruction concerning personal financial responsibility.
(b)A school corporation, a charter school, and a state accredited nonpublic school must meet the requirements of subsection (a) by providing instruction on personal financial responsibility as a separate subject that addresses the following content areas:
(1)Basic principles of:
(A)money management, such as:
(i)spending and saving;
(ii)types of bank accounts;
(iii)opening and managing a bank account; and
(iv)assessing the quality of a depository institution's services;
(B)debt management;
(C)receiving an inheritance and related implications;
(D)savings, retire
