5.

(a)This section applies to the following:

(1)A public school maintained by a school corporation.

(2)A charter school that is not a virtual charter school (as defined in IC 20-24-1-10).

(b)If a student is enrolled to attend in-person instruction at a school and the student participates in any virtual instruction or remote learning that is provided by the school, the school shall ensure that the virtual instruction or remote learning provided by the school meets the following requirements:

(1)The virtual instruction or remote learning is of the same quality and rigor as the instruction that the student would have received if the student was attending in-person instruction at the school.

(2)The curriculum and any other educational resources used in the virtual instruction or remote l

5. (a) This section applies to the following:

(b) If a student is enrolled to attend in-person instruction at a school
and the student participates in any virtual instruction or remote learning
that is provided by the school, the school shall ensure that the virtual
instruction or remote learning provided by the school meets the
following requirements:
(1) The virtual instruction or remote learning is of the same
quality and rigor as the instruction that the student would have
received if the student was attending in-person instruction at the
school.
(2) The curriculum and any other educational resources used in
the virtual instruction or remote learning are aligned to Indiana's
academic standards.
(c) The department may adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to implement
this section.
