The department shall develop guidelines and best practices for use by accredited teacher preparation programs in preparing individuals to:

(1)teach in various environments; and
(2)successfully apply positive classroom behavioral management strategies and research based alternatives to exclusionary discipline in a manner that serves the learning needs of all students. [Pre-2005 Elementary and Secondary Education Recodification Citation: 20-10.2-8-1.]
