Before the governing body exercises power granted by any law to spend more than one million dollars ($1,000,000) to build, repair, or alter school buildings that would be financed by:

(1)entering into a lease agreement under IC 20-47-2-11 through IC 20-47-2-14 or IC 20-47-3-9 through IC 20-47-3-12;
(2)issuing bonds under IC 20-48-1; or
(3)any other available method; the governing body may order the preparation and pay the costs of a feasibility study. [Pre-2005 Elementary and Secondary Education Recodification Citation: 20-5-52-1.]
