§ 20-26-7-18 — Authorization of bonds for purchase or improvement of property and buildings; issuance conditions and procedure

Subject to IC 5-1-11.5, a school corporation may issue and sell bonds under the general statutes governing the issuance of bonds to purchase and improve buildings or lands, or both. All laws relating to approval (if required) in a local public question under IC 6-1.1-20, including the requirement that a local public question may be placed on the ballot only at a general election, the filing of petitions, remonstrances, and objecting petitions, giving notices of the filing of petitions, the determination to issue bonds, and the appropriation of the proceeds of the bonds are applicable to the issuance of bonds under section 17 of this chapter.
