(a)Each school year, the governing body of a school corporation may spend an amount for remediation programs for students enrolled in kindergarten through grade 12 not to exceed one percent (1%) of the state tuition support that the school corporation receives for the school year.
(b)A remediation program for any subset of students enrolled in kindergarten through grade 12 must be in writing and adopted at a public hearing of the governing body of the school corporation before the governing body may spend money for the remediation program.
(c)After the governing body of a school corporation adopts a remediation program under subsection (b), the school corporation shall promptly file the adopted plan with the department. The department shall review a plan for a remediation program adopte
