Text

(a)A parent of a student described in section 5 of this chapter shall provide proof of residence to the public school not later than ten (10) instructional days after the arrival date provided on the documentation described in section 5(2)(B) of this chapter.
(b)A parent may use the address of any of the following as proof of residence for purposes of this section:
(1)A temporary on base billeting facility.
(2)A purchased or leased home or apartment.
(3)Any federal government housing or off base military housing, including off base military housing that is provided through a public-private venture.
(c)If a parent of a student fails to provide proof of residence to a public school in accordance with subsection (a), the public school may exclude the student from attendance pending an e
