Text

(a)If a student is transferred from a school corporation in Indiana to a public school corporation in another state, the transferor corporation shall pay the transferee corporation the full tuition fee charged by the transferee corporation. However, the amount of the full tuition fee may not exceed the amount charged by the transferor corporation for the same class of school, or if the school does not have the same classification, the amount may not exceed the amount charged by the geographically nearest school corporation in Indiana that has the same classification.
(b)If a child is:
(1)placed by or with the consent of the department of child services in an out-of-state institution or other facility; and
(2)provided all educational programs and services by a public school corporation
