Text

(a)If:
(1)the governing body has disapproved a plan submitted;
(2)an alternative plan has been filed; or
(3)a petition of protest has been filed; the county election board shall hold a special election at a date to be determined by the county election board not more than ninety (90) days after the receipt of the determination of the state board on a plan in the form certified by the state board.
(b)If a special election under subsection (a) can be held not more than six (6) months after the receipt of the determination from the state board in conjunction with a primary or general election at which:
(1)county officials are to be elected or nominated; or
(2)city or town officials are to be elected in those areas of the school corporations that are within the city or town; the county e
