§ 20-23-8-10 — Initiation of plan change

Indiana·Title 20 EDUCATION·Art. 23 ORGANIZATION OF SCHOOL CORPORATIONS·Ch. 8 Governing Body Composition Change
(a)A change in a plan may be initiated by one (1) of the following procedures:
(1)By filing a petition signed by at least ten percent (10%) of the voters of the school corporation with the clerk of the circuit court.
(2)By a resolution adopted by the governing body of the school corporation.
(3)By ordinance adopted by a city legislative body under section 13 of this chapter.
(b)A petition, resolution, or ordinance must set forth a description of the plan that conforms with section 7 of this chapter. [Pre-2005 Elementary and Secondary Education Recodification Citation: 20-4-10.1-5.]
