§ 20-23-6-11 — Filing copies of consolidation resolution; school corporations to be separate and distinct from any civil corporation

A governing body shall, after the members
have taken their oath of office, cause a copy of the resolution to
consolidate to be filed with the department of local government finance
and the county recorder in the county in which the new school district
is located. Any consolidated school district is declared to be and is
made a school corporation for school purposes, separate and distinct
from any civil corporation.
