Text

(a)The state board shall elect one (1) member to serve as secretary. The secretary shall:
(1)maintain custody of the state board's records, papers, and effects; and
(2)keep minutes of the state board's proceedings. The records, papers, effects, and minutes of all meetings and actions of the state board shall be kept at the office of the secretary of education and are public records.
(b)The state board shall adopt and use a seal that contains the words "Indiana State Board of Education". A written description of the seal shall be recorded in the minutes of the state board and filed in the office of the secretary of state.
