§ 14-38-1-8 — Compensation of landowners and state

Indiana·Art. 38 OTHER PETROLEUM REGULATION·Ch. 1 Petroleum Exploration on State Property

A permittee may not commence an operation upon land covered by a permit until the permittee has compensated the following:

(1)The owners of private rights in the land according to law.
(2)The state for damage to the surface rights of the state in accordance with the rules adopted by the commission. [Pre-1995 Recodification Citation: 14-4-3-4.]
