§ 14-37-4-15 — Violations
(a)The department may assess a civil
penalty of not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000) against a
person who violates section 1 or 2 of this chapter.
(b)A person who knowingly or intentionally violates section 1 or 2
of this chapter commits a Level 6 felony if the violation relates to the
operation of a Class II well.
(c)A civil penalty assessed under this section shall be deposited in
the oil and gas environmental fund established by IC 14-37-10-2.
