§ 14-37-11-4 — Violations
(a)An owner or operator who violates section
1 of this chapter commits a Class B infraction.
(b)The department may assess a civil penalty of not more than ten
thousand dollars ($10,000) against an owner or operator who violates
section 1 of this chapter.
(c)An owner or operator who knowingly or intentionally violates
section 1 of this chapter commits a Level 6 felony if the violation
concerns the operation of a Class II well.
(d)A civil penalty assessed under this section shall be deposited in
the oil and gas environmental fund established by IC 14-37-10-2.
