§ 14-27-6-50 — Public purpose

Indiana·Art. 27 LEVEES, DAMS, AND DRAINAGE·Ch. 6 Levee Authority in Vanderburgh County

The acquiring, establishment, construction, improvement, equipment, maintenance, control, and operation of levees under this chapter are declared to be:

(1)a governmental function of general public necessity and benefit; and
(2)for the use and general welfare of all the people of Indiana as well as of the people residing in the district. [Pre-1995 Recodification Citation: 13-2-31-29.]
