If requested in writing by a majority of interested landowners, the committee in charge of a levee may pump out or remove from land protected by the levee water that collects and remains standing on the land and that does not have a means of outlet. For this purpose the committee may purchase pumps or adopt other suitable means for the removal of the water. [Pre-1995 Recodification Citation: 13-2-19.5-7 part.]
