Text
(a)If:
(1)the state receives a direct profit from the sale of state land or
the products of the state land; and
(2)the profit is a direct result of work done on the land under 16
U.S.C. 585 through 590 (before their repeal);
the state may, through the appropriate state officers, apply not more
than one-half (1/2) of the profit to or toward reimbursing the United
States government for money expended by the United States
government under 16 U.S.C. 585 through 590 (before their repeal).
(b)The amount paid to the United States government under
subsection (a) must be at the rate of one dollar ($1) per man per day for
the time spent on the work. However, the total amount paid may not
exceed in the aggregate three dollars ($3) per acre for the state land or
