Text

(a)The operator of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in serious bodily injury to or death of an individual or property damage in an estimated amount of at least seven hundred fifty dollars ($750) shall immediately, by the quickest means of communication, notify at least one (1) of the following:
(1)A state police officer or conservation officer.
(2)The sheriff's office of the county where the accident occurred.
(3)The office of the police department of the municipality where the accident occurred.
(b)The police agency receiving the notice shall do the following:
(1)Complete a report of the accident on forms prescribed by the director.
