§ 14-15-3-17 — Minimum distance from shore lines
(a)Except as provided in subsection (b), a
person may not operate a motorboat within two hundred (200) feet of
the shore line of a lake or channel of the lake at a speed greater than
idle speed.
(b)This subsection applies to lakes formed by hydroelectric dams
in either of the following counties:
(1)A county having a population of more than twenty-four
thousand six hundred (24,600) and less than twenty-five thousand
(25,000).
(2)A county having a population of more than twenty thousand
(20,000) and less than twenty thousand four hundred (20,400).
A person may not operate a motorboat within fifty (50) feet of the shore
line at a speed greater than idle speed. However, on tributaries of lakes
