Text
Notwithstanding any of the provisions of this chapter, a person operating a boat competing in and during:
(1)a boat race;
(2)a water ski event; or
(3)any other organized boating activity;
over a fixed and marked course for which a permit has been issued by
the department under this article may attempt to attain any speed of
which the boat is capable.
